Bass player and winner of the BBC Young Jazz Musician 2024 Ursula Harrison and rising London-based vocalist Sylvie Noble first met on the vibrant South-Wales jazz scene, immediately bonding over their shared love of jazz and folk music. New Eve represents the duo’s fearless desire to push the boundaries of genre, whilst carefully uncovering tender emotional experiences. An unconventional lineup and stripped down, acoustic approach leaves nowhere to hide sonically, exposing the raw vulnerability of their compositions, and cementing New Eve as a boldly innovative release, forecast to ‘represent a major event in British Jazz.’  

With a title reminiscent of a blossoming feminine rebirth and the beginning of a new age, New Eve explores an array of profoundly human experiences, seamlessly weaving between tales of disorder and defiance, grief and surrender.
