Based in London, jazz vocalist and composer Sylvie Noble pulls from eclectic influences across the musical spectrum, combining jazz and folk to create an entirely unique sound. A finalist of the 2025 Tina May Young Jazz Musician competition and anchored by a love for improvisation, her sound is steeped in sensitive honesty, technical virtuosity, and captivating storytelling. 

Her most recent project, Sylvie + Ursula, is a duo collaboration with double bassist Ursula Harrison, winner of the BBC Young Jazz Musician Award 2024, and their debut album of original music New Eve is due for release in spring 2026. Fusing the American folk music of Gillian Welch and Robin Holcomb with her own jazz influences, Sylvie released an E.P in 2024 with her band A Wheel Inside a Wheel. Sylvie is a member of the London Vocal Project, one of the UK's leading contemporary vocal ensembles, and has performed and toured with musicians such as Ant Law and Tom Ollendorff, in settings from Pizza Express Live to Brecon, Sligo and Limerick Jazz Festivals. She toured the UK with The Mingus Project in 2024, with whom she released a live album. 

As a performer and arranger, Sylvie was commissioned by the Wales Millennium Centre to reimagine the repertoire of the iconic Welsh post-punk band Young Marble Giants within a jazz context, through innovative and experimental arrangements. A budding writer, Sylvie has written for UK Jazz News, interviewing Belgian vocalist Lynn Cassiers for a preview written on behalf of the Royal Academy of Music. Sylvie teaches at various jazz summer-schools, such as Sligo Jazz and the Original UK Jazz summer-school, and is pursuing a Postgraduate degree in jazz studies at the Royal Academy of Music, after graduating from the Royal Welsh College of Music with a first-class BMus degree in jazz voice.
